What to expect
Barcelona is a great city to take slowly. This evening is built around that: a few neighborhood wine bars, shared plates, and time to let one glass lead to the next.
You’ll spend it with a certified sommelier, walking between a handful of local wine bars in Sant Antoni. At each stop you’ll try Spanish and Catalan wines poured next to seasonal dishes chosen to go with them.
It isn’t a scripted tapas crawl through packed tourist spots. The group stays small, the pace stays easy, and every bar on the route earned its place for its wine and for the way they present the local ingredients.
What you will taste
Across the evening you’ll work through Spanish whites, reds and cava, each one poured with a dish meant to bring out what’s in the glass. Your sommelier fills in the background as you go: where the wine is from, how it’s made, and why it makes sense with the plate that you have in front of you.
A small group, by design
With eight guests at most, there’s room to ask questions and take your time. You don’t need to know anything about wine to come along, and nobody’s going to quiz you. The idea is just to help you figure out what you like, and why.
The sommelier behind it
Uncorked Vines was started by a sommelier who grew up around wine and has spent years showing visitors around Barcelona’s bars and kitchens. It’s for people who want a bit more than the usual food tour.
You won’t be racing between landmarks or counting how many stops you can fit in.
It’s a slow evening getting to know a piece of Barcelona through what’s in your glass.
